Longmont celebrates Cinco de Mayo: 11 a.m. Saturday, Roosevelt Park, 700 Longs Peak Ave., Longmont. Cinco de Mayo Committee invites community members to participate in the 21st Longmont Celebrates Cinco de Mayo event. Cinco de Mayo organizers bring diverse communities together to educate, share, appreciate and enjoy each others’ differences. Colors at Lanyon Park: 10 a.m. Saturday, Lanyon Neighborhood Park, 1900 Collyer St., Longmont. Meet at Lanyon Neighborhood Park to read and dance to different rhythms around the world and have fun at the park. May the Fourth be with You Day at Left Hand Brewing: 1 p.m. Saturday, The Garden at Left Hand Brewing, 1245 Boston Ave., Longmont. Celebrate this official Star Wars holiday in the Beer Garden. DIY Hypertufa garden pots: 2 p.m. Saturday, Carbon Valley Regional Library, 7 Park Ave., Firestone. Come make a pot out of hypertufa. Made from a mixture of peat moss, vermiculite, Portland cement and water, hypertufa can be formed and shaped to create pots and planters much lighter than their concrete counterparts. Rise Against Suicide Emerge 5K: 8 a.m. Sunday, Boulder Reservoir, 5565 51st St., Boulder. Join for Rise Against Suicide’s biggest annual fundraiser. The funds raised from the event ensure that the group can provide free mental health care for youth in the community. Storch and Lacis at Bricks on Main: 1 p.m. Sunday, Bricks on Main, 471 Main St., Longmont. Storch & Lacis is the duo of Teresa Storch and Peter Lacis from the Teresa Storch Band. Storch’s soulful voice and lyrics combine with Lacis’ soaring and complex guitar arrangements, creating an original, genre-pushing rock sound with jam and roots origins. This is the result of a singer-songwriter from the Boston area creating music with a guitarist from the New Jersey jam scene. Storch & Lacis have toured internationally, performing at festivals in Scotland and Ireland. “From Light To Light” performance: 3 p.m. Sunday, Niwot High School Auditorium, 8989 E. Niwot Road, Niwot. Rocky Mountain Chorale presents its 2024 spring concert “From Light To Light”.
